XI-M's Mourning Assembly!!!

The spelling mistake in the title is intentional and not an outcome of my poor english...
The assembly - not what I would describe as perfect far from it but on the bright side no one threw anything at us. The topic was Ad-Mad which was basically about how crappy advertisments rule the idiot box. Now the content could have been made more interesting but what more do you expect out of 4 days of practice.
It was freezing in the morning and I was hoping and fervently praying to God to give my nose the courage to resist sneezing and my throat to resist coughing. Being one of the compere we first made sure that everything was in order. We checked with Bhattu and Divij- who played the airtel music- to see if they had got everything in place. Bhattu's confidence with which he said that my guitaring will rock would have made Jimi Hendrix nervous. Then we had Kriti, Nikita and Prantika telling me for the hundreth time not to start laughing when I was to say mike testing 123 which was actually a cue for them to start the benadryl song (man how can you resist laughing at some song as stupid as this!!). So I managed to get through this 123 part alright though there was this moment when they didn't start off in time because they were having problems reaching the mike. Then Manvi recited a self composed poem which went off well( she got a cash price of Rs.1000 for it). Now when the instrumentals actually began and we heard Mr. Hendrix in action my first impulse was to jump off stage. Kriti who was co-compering had this disgusted look on her face and was like, Abey yeh kya baja rahe hain!! But thank god it was over soon.

Then comes the skit which left me with a strong feeling that I should pack off and head towards Berkina Fauso( I dunno where it is ask Manchanda) and never show my face again. It wasn't that bad but nevermind it reminds me of those days spent practicing when Patwaari, me and the other guys used to hide our faces beneath the blazers whenever the skit was being practiced in the OAT in full public view. As for my compering...its upto you to tell mehow it was, and tell me honestly don't go overboard like Chona did today!!

Speaking of Chona, don't worry people even our section thought that she was being too lavish in her praise and we all know the reason don't we (coz of me, just kidding coz Abha Chona is our class teacher). I mean she was like this is the best section that we have and this was one of the best assemblies (which actually left us smirking). She sanctioned us a picinc to a far off place of our choice( Patwaari suggested Gorakhpur) and said that she would like us to come to tea at her place( wierd isn't it?!!) But at the end of the day it wasn't that bad after all...right?!!

Back in class this guy( dunno his name) was playing sutta on the guitar. Well the class joined in that is to say the girls did but none of us knew the lyrics. In the loud girl performance that followed, me and all all guys were looking at each other ,"bahiyya ghagra-choli pehnne ka time aa gaya hai". Girls are not what they used to be...sigh. I saw Harry Potter for the second time today coz school took us to Sangam. Nothing eventful happened except that we were standing during the II-half because kissi school ke sardaaron ne( lots of small kids all in blue turban who were screaming every 2 mins and singing bolo ta ra rara) had taken up the space( sorry people if you think I am being racist). And Akshay was having this strong inclination to have a drag( apna sutta saath laaya tha).

No test on Monday which is good considering that I don't know a word of Computers, so I'll probably take off.
